EMedia has added Piano Keyboard Method Deluxe (Mac/Win, $99.95) to its series of music tutorial CD-ROMs. It contains two previously released titles, Piano Keyboard Method and Intermediate Piano Keyboard Method, packaged together in a 2-volume set. The first disc focuses on the basics of keyboard technique and sight-reading, and the second encompasses improvisational technique.

With more than 450 audio- and video-enhanced lessons and over 150 songs in a variety of musical styles, students' playing and understanding of music should improve quickly. An onscreen animated keyboard displays correct fingerings of notes and chords as the music plays, and when used with a MIDI controller, the software provides variable-speed keyboard tracks and feedback on playing mistakes.
